Well I’m stunned how the year is already flying by – another week and we’ll be in March.

It has been a busy few months for us though – new boiler is now fitted, and is great to be honest. It is so nice to actually have the house warm and cosy. Hot water at high pressure all ready and waiting etc 🙂

We’ve also just had our double glazing replaced – still waiting for some finishing bits to be sorted (ie front door frame is bowed and patio door handles are uneven). Fingers crossed that all gets sorted smoothly – on one hand the company was great. . . on the other some problems I’d rather have not had (including them KNOWING there was a problem with the front door but telling me it needed to “settle”).

Unfortunately that kinda really pisses me off.

Not long now until camping time either – hoping we can sort out the problems with Buzz being defensive when people walk by. While I’m sure he wouldn’t actually bite anyone, there are times when you have that instant panic when he jumps up. Might even look at muzzling them until they are both better to be honest.

So – 2 months just about gone and 10 more until xmas!

I have only ever met a few people in my life who actually enjoy their job. I know that currently I completely and utterly HATE mine. The stress I go through is totally unacceptable, its certainly not healthy either.

So why go through it? To be honest I try to live to the view I work to live, not live to work. We have a nice house, two dogs, we don’t struggle for money. So we can’t complain.

But when you find you start working 12 hours a day every day, that you can’t sleep that well anymore and just feel down. . . well when does it become too much?

I always wondered what would be my dream job, or a job I’d wake up in the morning and go YES I’m happy to be going to work today. But for now the only path I see is earning money, not enjoying a job but at least having the surroundings that I try to make it all worthwhile is.

Where is the lucky lottery ticket when you need it eh!

Well with the baby on the way I’m determined to try and lose a bit of weight and get a bit fitter. I keep on talking about it and a while back I tried the P90X. Well since then my weight has increased and my will to do anything about has decreased. But today I’ve started a new workout regime and we’ll see how it goes.

Its on the Xbox and its EA Sports Active 2. I’ll be honest and say I don’t particularly like it, it isn’t very good at recognition with some horrible bugs. It also seems to assume we all live in a mansion, not just the 6ft (+++!) for the kinect but also space behind that 6ft for you to do a full outstretched press up! But I paid good money for it so intend to use it. I’ve also now got the jaccuzzi all warmed up – which will be my treat after each work out 🙂

I’m also going to be playing squash a couple of times a week. I don’t like that I have to do this workout 4 times a week + squash, but just have to work through it.

So – day 1 today, good sweat on from it and it reckons a whole 160 calories burned! Hmmmm I’ve having a kebab tonight so bang goes the good there! 🙂

Well painting wise anyway 🙂

Been waiting for the plaster to dry – finally was dry enough today to start painting.

So watered down basecoat then two coats of white on the ceiling. Then the walls (2 coats over most of it). Has taken me from 10:00am until 19:30 🙁 So prob Tue night or more likely Wed night I have the same to do again over the other side of the kitchen. No idea how I’m going to manage this in one night (with no lights!).

Again – more photo’s taken. . . will post them when all done 🙂

Well the saga still continues! Still no decision from the builders who were MEANT to be doing our kitchen.

Yesterday I did have someone new round, they are meant to be calling back with a quote today. Let us see what they say!

Only good/bad news was that they felt it would take 3 people a week to do it. . and if just 2 of them. . .longer than a week. So good news on that part, and it did make me feel a little better about the quote from our other builders.

That said – we can hardly move in the kitchen now. No way of cooking a proper meal. It is starting to REALLY grind 🙁

Friendships are weird things – sometimes do you sit back and wonder whether they are really worth it? One rule for some – one rule for others. . . depending on which way the wind is blowing you are “in” or “out”. Frustrating things really 🙂

Anyway – all good fun. . life would be boring without them eh!

Our new kitchen has been delivered now – I’ve stripped off alot of the old wall cupboards and tiles, got an electrician in doing some wiring work and plasterer all booked ready to go. However. . . the wonderful builders who were meant to be BUILDING the kitchen are just messing us around. They are quoting quite a high price, no confirmation on dates (even though we’ve said yes!) and generally just making us feel it isn’t worth it. I mean – we are spending nearly £2000 for them to just BUILD and install the kitchen! I’m taking the old one out, paying for plasterer separately, got an electrician in and ME decorating – so it isn’t loads they have to do! Also they don’t include the tiling of the floor. So spending that much for what feels like so little. . . .why are we having to chase them daily? Really REALLY annoys me.

Now going to start looking for someone else. . .don’t think we have much choice now 🙁

No idea where or why – but good ole cold has come a visiting again 🙁

Wouldn’t mind but seemed to go for ages without one . . but over past few months had a couple hit me from nowhere.

Still waiting for wedding photo’s – though partly our fault for taking so long to choose them. Although we were a bit surprised when we were told we had to pay for delivery which “would be expensive” or drive about 50 miles to pick them up! Will wait to see the photo’s before I make judgement.

Once we get them – I also get a DVD of all the full res photos (without watermarks – well they had best be!). Once I’ve got these. . .up on the webby they go. . so check back in a week or 3.

Well finally decided to move hosts due to rubbish performance, and decided at the same time I’d give the website an overhall. It’s now run by a “blogging” front end, so expect more rubbish from me posted more regularly! Well – all those promises of more regular updates. . kinda fell by the wayside 🙂

But. . who knows!!

I’ve still not started doing P90X yet – weight is fluctuating around the 15st 12 mark and I can’t seem to get past that. But I’ll be honest and say I’ve not been trying that hard. I am playing squash now 1/2 times a week. . . good bit of fun n sweat.

Only other key things – kitchen! We’ve finally ordered our new kitchen and had a wall knocked down! Now just waiting for the quotes to finalise and . . sort out an electrician. All these new laws. . .I’m sure it is only for people to make more money off us 🙁

Work is crap – I am really hating things. . but not much to do about that!

Wedded life. . is bliss. . . honestly. Since getting married I don’t have to talk to her, or anything 🙂 Only joking . . .we are getting on great. . just totally skint all the time.

Well . . no idea on how my weight is looking (or waist!)as I’m stuck travelling with work.

That said – I feel a little bit thinner . . but not enough to matter. Suit fitting is this weekend!

I’m still hoping to be under 16st before the wedding, and afterwards will probably pick the P90x up again. For now. . just trying to lose a bit of weight and NOT lose the progress I’d made.
